“They shoot without shame…”
everyday glory January 22nd, 2007Sunday – 21 January 2007
Today was another Salt Lake Valley Sunday (with apologies to The Monkees).
Actually, that’s not entirely true. Shortly after waking up, I found myself in Rhode Island. Paragon City, to be exact. I put a couple of levels on ‘Nefer-Tem before joining up with the rest of Team Nephilim and finally making it to Corporal in Battlefield 2142. I am slowly getting better at a few aspects of the game: Conserving ammo. Lining up kill shots (I’m the recon/sniper of our team). Remembering that I’m occasionally the team medic. All of that aside, I’m still a poor hand-to-hand combatant, though. *shrug*
This evening,
I came home and decided to spend some time in Boston, so I drew a hot bath and plowed my way through more of Cold Service. While Joe Mantenga has turned in good performances as Robert B. Parker’s quick-witted private eye, it’s Robert Urich‘s voice I hear when I read the books. And, of course, Avery Brooks as Hawk. It was a good way to wind down the day.
Stray Toasters
- I want a snack, but I’m not sure what I want. I think that I’ll settle for a Hostess cupcake and a glass of milk.
- The Colts and da Bears are going to the big dance. I’m going with Baltimore 1.0 on this one.
- Monday nights just got… interesting. 24 and Heroes are both on, although I’m not sure if they’re on at the same time. However, I game on every other Monday night. “Helloooooo, recording devices.”
: Despite the link you sent me this morning, I still like you. I may never sleep again, but do still like you. And, as a sign of good faith, I’ll even post a link to a custom Kitty Pryde figure that someone made, complete with Lockheed. - Dance Dance Revolution Versus Library Fines
