Tuesday
I had a slow start to the day. It was grey and overcast and gloomy-ish when I woke up. That’s not really conducive to wanting to bound out of bed. So, I didn’t. But, I did eventually roll out of bed and made my way to the shower. Nothing like a hot shower to start the day. And soap. Soap is good, too.

I met for cups o’ caffeinated goodness. We chatted for a while about this, that and the other. And you. And you, too. But we still like you. For the most part. Except for that… thing… you do. After dropping Nyx off, I went to do more A+ reading. I was pretty successful at it, too. I spent about three hours straight at it… and my head didn’t go all splodey.

I got a call this afternoon with good news: It seems that I am going to be made a job offer. That was a definite rainbow in an otherwise dull grey day.

I am supposed to go in tomorrow to get the offer letter. This was definitely some good news to receive before heading off to San Francisco for the holiday weekend. (Must remember to take kites…) This was good news to receive, period. I called the parental units to share the joy. Mom’s reaction actually made me laugh:

“That’s great! Now, I can stop worrying God and Ma about it!”
(referring to my late great-grandmother)

Dad was equally happy, but nowhere near as colorful in expressing it.

The evening closed with dinner with , Nyx and . Actually, and I just had dessert and cocktails, as we had eaten shortly before Nyx and Nox contacted us. I had a Captain and Coke… and it was strong. Popeye-after-eating-spinach strong. I actually had to ask for a bit more Coke. And it still had a bite, after that.
