It’s been a good day.

Yesterday was a relaxing day.  It started out with putting Nefer-Tem through the paces in Paragon City.  Thanks to the joys of Double XP Weekend, he’s just shy of Level 10 at this point.

I got together with to help him with a mini-project, then we had lunch and caught a movie.  Lunch was at Colosimo’s… and it was good.  Selah.  The movie was Children of Men.  It was very good.  For the first few minutes after the movie, all that we could say was “Wow.”  It was a powerful movie with good acting, great set dressing and costuming and the overall feel of the movie was raw and intense.  It portrayed an interesting juxtaposition between “faith and chance,” in the movie’s own words alongside despair and hope.  If you haven’t seen this movie yet, add it to whatever “must see” list you have.

After that, I spent a little more time in Paragon with Nefer-Tem.  I am very glad that characters don’t accrue debt until Security Level 10, because I got my butt handed to me a few times.  Quite a few times.  But, in the end, justice was served.

Then, it was off to The Crüxshadows concert with , , Chris, … The Professor and Mary-Ann!  (Okay, the last two weren’t there, but and did show up later.)  There were two opening bands: Ego Likeness and Aryia, both of whom were good, as well.  The crowd wasn’t as large as I expected, but it was a small venue, so that’s not a bad thing.  The show was good and I wound up grabbing the Crüxshadows’ latest release, too.

Today started off with brunch, in lieu of Saturday night breakfast.  That was good.  Then, off with to Barnes & Noble, Best Buy and Jordan Commons; I didn’t buy anything at either store (*gasp*) and saw Children of Men again; it was just as good the second time.

Back home to tack a couple more levels on Mr. Nefer-Tem (he’s Level 11 now) and I’m off to watch Without a Trace.

“Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow.”

Namaste.

Bonus points for those who can identify tonight’s quotes’ speaker… and when/where they were used.
