Stray Toasters

  • One of my favorite sections of Harper’s Magazine is “The Harper’s Index.” It is described as:

Each month, the Harper’s Index provides a statistical snapshot of the world’s economic, political, and cultural climate. The Harper’s Index is published to Harpers.org one month after print publication.

I found an old issue of the magazine and decided, on a whim, to look up the magazine’s website… and The Harper’s Index section, as well.

  • Monkey Shines (directed by George Romero, no less) was on SciFi earlier. I remember seeing this in the theatre. I enjoyed it then; I only got to see a few minutes of it today. And, I had forgotten that Janine Turner (pre-Northern Exposure) was in it.
  • Umm… a Star Wars TV show? It looks that way.
  • And… Mel Brooks is working on a sequel to Spaceballs.
  • I need to draw more. I haven’t forgotten everything, but I need to get back into a more regular habit of taking the time to practice.
  • Ghirardelli Chocolate. If I have to say more, you just don’t understand.
  • Toblerone White Chocolate. Ditto.
  • For : “Aaah! A Mac!!”
  • She blocked her eyes and drew the curtains
with knots I’ve got yet to untie…

  • The twins are on the futon. Presto is bathing Lightning, who is sprawled out and seems to be enjoying it. They usually make a bit of a ruckus when they come down here… this time, if I hadn’t happened to look over my shoulder, I would have never known that they were down here.
  • ::: working on Moab and Thompson pictures :::

Good night and good morrow.

Namaste.
