Another day in the Valleys. Salt Lake and Utah, that is. So far, it’s been a good day. I have coffee. I have cinnamon rolls. I had a rather event-free ride to work; coworker John is now referring to the commute as “Race of the Monkeys.” I like that. This morning’s race had a good soundtrack.

  • Will Smith – Wild Wild West
  • Blackstreet (ft. Mya, Ma$e and Blink) – Take Me There
  • emmet swimming – 8:45
  • Veruca Salt – Volcano Girls
  • Harry Connick, Jr. – She
  • Rob Base and DJ Easy Rock – It Takes Two

Last night, post-work was good. I stopped off to see ; she had mentioned that her store had a dining set in which I might be interested. I took a look at it. She was right. Nice Scandinavian design. Good lines. And a good price, to boot! From there, I swung past Fascist Place to pick up a bite to eat and then…

D&D night at ‘ place. We started off with “bookkeeping,” getting odds and ends sorted out from our last adventure and deciding what courses of action to take in our next one. The evening also saw the return of an old NPC; she’s… different… than she was when we last saw her. First off: She’s not dead anymore. That was the biggest difference. Secondly, she seems to have mellowed a bit. Go figure.

Namaste.
