Sunny… And warm?! Are you sure that this is Utah?

And a lovely one, at that.
After having frozen mocha goodness a few days ago, it seems as though the bug is back. *twitch* I went to the B&B for another hit. Taaaaaasty. I hopped on I-215 for what I figured to be a quick jaunt over to Borders.
Boy was I wrong…
The interstate had turned into a parking lot at Redwood. Which was odd. Especially for a Sunday. Accident? Construction? Roadblock? No idea. And because of the sound-dampening walls along the side of the road, I couldn’t see what was going on around the bend. As I got a little farther down the road, I could see that they had closed off all but one of the lanes; it’s a four-lane highway. *braincramp* A little farther and I could see “why” the lanes were closed: They were unstriping/restriping the road.
On to Borders! I showed Charlie the tattoo design… and he liked it. Hoo-AH! I still have to figure out the “spelling” of a couple of words in katakana, but it’s pretty much done. I also talked with Zont’l for a bit about some of the differences between the East Coast and the Land Behind the Zion Curtain; she agrees with me on most points.
On the way home, Limelight came on the radio. Naturally, I turned it up and drummed on the steering wheel and sang along as I cruised down Redwood. Not only is it one of my favorite Rush songs, it’s a one of my favorite driving songs.
Talked with the parental units. Told Mom when I’d arrive on Thursday; made travel arrangements for Dad to fly out to OKC to drive back with Adam. Heard a few preliminary details about Rana’s wedding. All-in-all, things seem (relatively) quiet on the eastern front.
Time to meet up with the Sunday night group and storm the theatre.
Namaste.
