Four down, one to go. It was a good day. I had a little bit of irritation with a system at work, but that was the only bit of grey in the day. For today’s workout, I broke away from my coworkers and returned to an old routine: Back and triceps. I didn’t push some of the exercises as much as I could have, but it was a good, solid workout. It was a pleasant change of pace… and a return to something familiar, at the same time.
Post-work, I had dinner with
- Take bite of Food Item A.
- Run into play area for a few minutes.
- Run back for bite of Food Item B and a few sips of Beverage C.
- Run into play area for a few minutes.
- Lather, rinse, repeat.
The boys ran and climbed and jumped (and beat each other with the swinging pads). They played with the other kids. Bottom line: They had fun. And that’s a good thing.
I came home and took a hot bath. For the previous few hours I had been cold. Not horribly so, but enough to be a little less than comfortable. I didn’t – and don’t – feel sick; it just seemed like a nice way to relax. It was. And it was doubly pleasant as a way to relax my back and arms after today’s workout.
Stray Toasters
- Anyone whose read my journal for a while knows that I enjoy finding free magazine subscriptions. Now, there’s a syndicated feed that keeps me abreast of many offers:
. - By way of
(and Gearlog): Marshmallow Blaster - Video interview: Alan Moore Discusses V for Vendetta
- Internet Bumper Stickers
(I just typed that twice and both times, I typed it as “bumber” *sigh*)
- Aerosmith’s Shut Up and Dance. Goofy, mindless song… but it makes you want to move around.
- Star Wars or Web 2.0 Quiz – I got a 34.
- From Broken Frontier: Don’t call them ‘X-Babies!’
: One-Shot Hero, a Legion fan film. It’s a little cheesy. It’s a bit rough. But, it’s… oh, you’ll have to decide for yourself. - “Yoink!”

Quote of the Day
From a conversation with
(2:58:26 PM)
: Oh, I discovered the… third… useful thing about hover a few days ago.
(2:58:33 PM): oh?
(2:58:38 PM): It’s the mother of all “air brakes.”
(2:58:42 PM): hah!
(2:58:43 PM): Flying along….
(2:58:47 PM): Hit hover….
(2:58:49 PM): *bam*
(2:58:52 PM): Stop on a dime.
(2:58:57 PM): AND give change back
(2:59:01 PM): wtf is a dime doing floating in mid-air?
(2:59:11 PM): Telekinesis, I guess.
(2:59:22 PM): There are a lot of heroes in Paragon City.
(2:59:23 PM): TELEKINETIC DIMES?!
(3:03:19 PM): Stranger things have happened.
(3:03:35 PM): After all, there’s a ghost ship that floats through 2 zones…
(3:03:42 PM): A giant octopus…
(3:03:51 PM): A “Nessie”-like monster….
(3:04:11 PM): Telekinetic dimes just don’t seem so far-fetched when compared to those.
(3:05:16 PM): point.
(3:05:26 PM): Shoot.
(3:05:32 PM): *click*
(3:05:37 PM): I don’t have pictures of the ship or of Sarah.
(3:05:59 PM): I do have some up Lusca, the octopus, though.
(3:06:00 PM): 🙂
(3:06:11 PM): I need to take more screenshots of random stuff.
(3:06:24 PM): Make a scrapbook like Martha Kent used to make about Clark.
(3:06:27 PM): giant octopi only make me think that i need to roll up my katamari and stick them to it.
(3:06:30 PM): HAH
(3:07:15 PM): At that point, does it go from Katamari Damarcy to Calamari Damarcy ?
(3:07:28 PM): bwahahahahahah!
“Goodnight, Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea.”
Namaste.
(And, as it’s now 17 March 06: Happy St. Patrick’s Green Lantern Day!)
