“Don’t change that station…”
everyday glory November 7th, 2001What to say about today…?
- It was Tuesday.
- Dragged ourselves out of bed and to the gym before work!
- Worked – nothing special there today.
- Came home.
After all of last night’s comments about what to tape and how, I left home this morning secure in the knowledge that all was well. I should have realized at that point that Murphy’s Law (“Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.”) was drafted for days like today:
- Dee didn’t set his VCR to get the NYPD Blue premiere. I caught the second half of it when we got home; I liked what I saw.
- Instead of taping our local WB affiliate, for tonight’s episode of Smallville, I recorded programming on the UPN station. This means that I got Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but since I’m not a regular watcher of the series, it’s pretty meaningless to me. It was the singing episode. Whoopee.
- I haven’t dared to check the other VCR to see whether or not I actually got 24; but since Jess programmed that one, I’m sure that it worked.
Tomorrow is Wednesday, halfway mark of the work week. After that, everything else is, hopefully, an easy coast to the weekend. That will be a good thing. Another good thing would be if I can make sure that I set up everything properly for Enterprise…
Peace.
