“Mystic rhythms capture my thoughts, carry them away…”
everyday glory December 4th, 2001Like I said in this morning’s post: It snowed today, mostly this morning and a little tonight.
Usual routine: Work. Gym. Home.
Random Thoughts:
- There’s something about listening to Jimmy Buffett, while working, that makes the time seem to pass faster. Maybe it has something to do with the (usually) light-hearted, good mood lyrics. That and/or the almost overwhelming desire to belt out a verse or two of “Margaritaville” or “Boat Drinks” on the workroom floor.
- Sting’s song “Russians,” from the CD Dream of the Blue Turtles, seems to have a new relevance of sorts in light of recent events. You can see the lyrics here.
- I am really enjoying the new Justice League cartoon. Not only is the animation good, but the stories aren’t just your typical “Hey!!! (Villain name) is (type of crime)! We must get them before they (plot device)!!!” And they are actually developing the characters and not just the archetypes. Who would have thought it possible?!? Actually, that’s something of a no-brainer; the creative team behind it are the same people behind the award-winning Batman: the Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond. (Info on those series here)
- I miss late-night runs to Steak and Shake with my friends back home.
- I need to do more writing. Not journaling. Writing.
- Gym GOOOD!!! ::: gesture :::
- Gym, after two days of not going, BAAAD!!! ::: gesture :::
- I cook a good steak.
- The cats, when they aren’t being Hellraisers, are funny.
Seeking Morpheus.
To wander the Realm of Dreams.
Bed and sleep beckon.
Peace.
