- Most people who have been around me for a while have heard me use the phrase “…said the Actress to the Bishop” (or “…said the Bishop to the Actress”). It is a British expression, but given the fact that the head of each Ward here behind the Zion Curtain is also called “Bishop,” it adds an all-new twist/flavor to it. I first learned of it because of a Brian Bolland print called – aptly enough: Actress and The Bishop. For the meaning/origin of the phrase, see this.
