“Dying is easy, living is tough…”

I woke up to a phone call from
So I rode alone.
I made good time from 64th South to 33rd South. There’s a small park at 33rd and 11th West. I called Perry and asked him to meet me there so that I could drop off a piece of plastic crack. He warned me to… be careful… while I waited. Apparently, this is one of “a few” parks where people go to hook up with other people. Great. In fact, I think I had some guy look me over as he drove through the parking lot. *sigh* It didn’t really bother me – I’ve had guys hit on me before – but it did amuse me to some degree. Perry and I talked for a bit and then I got back on the bike and on the trail.
My plan was to go to 21st South and just head back home from there. And I did. Unfortunately, something decided to “enhance” my outdoors experience by causing me to get a flat rear tire. At 28th South. 28th South. Which put me almost 40 “blocks” from the trail head. And another three-and-a-half miles from there to the house. I called
Back home for a shower, change of cloths…. and we were off to meet
The Bold Adventures of Bolty: Novice Superhero at Large
After he headed home, Nox and I headed to Paragon City to take on some of the criminal element. A little earlier, I took a side trip to one of the local Icon shops – it was time for a new look. I walked out with a fresh fade, some new threads… and the same ass-whoopin’ attitude. Mm-hm, that’s right!
Then Akrael (Nox’ character) and I headed to Perez Park to mete out a little justice. We looked good doing it, too.
We did a fine job. And by “fine” I mean “We survived.” And we did survive… until that last group of Clockworks decided that they didn’t like fleshy meatsacks intruding on their territory. They ganged up on us and we went down faster’n a cheap seaport hooker during shore leave. Yeah. It was that bad. So, we licked our wounds and decided to call it a night. But there will be a reckoning.
Namaste.
