Stray Toasters
- One of my favorite sections of Harper’s Magazine is “The Harper’s Index.” It is described as:
Each month, the Harper’s Index provides a statistical snapshot of the world’s economic, political, and cultural climate. The Harper’s Index is published to Harpers.org one month after print publication.
I found an old issue of the magazine and decided, on a whim, to look up the magazine’s website… and The Harper’s Index section, as well.
- Monkey Shines (directed by George Romero, no less) was on SciFi earlier. I remember seeing this in the theatre. I enjoyed it then; I only got to see a few minutes of it today. And, I had forgotten that Janine Turner (pre-Northern Exposure) was in it.
- Umm… a Star Wars TV show? It looks that way.
- And… Mel Brooks is working on a sequel to Spaceballs.
- I need to draw more. I haven’t forgotten everything, but I need to get back into a more regular habit of taking the time to practice.
- Ghirardelli Chocolate. If I have to say more, you just don’t understand.
- Toblerone White Chocolate. Ditto.
- For
: “Aaah! A Mac!!” – - She blocked her eyes and drew the curtains
with knots I’ve got yet to untie…- The twins are on the futon. Presto is bathing Lightning, who is sprawled out and seems to be enjoying it. They usually make a bit of a ruckus when they come down here… this time, if I hadn’t happened to look over my shoulder, I would have never known that they were down here.
