“Someone saved my life tonight…”

Considering that I got two-ish hours of sleep last night, today wasn’t bad. Work was decent. The lunchtime workout was decent. And I even made a trip to Home Depot. Nothing to really complain about there.
Tonight’s Shadowrun game was in doubt for a while. A long while. I didn’t have a concept for how to bridge the story that the players completed last session with the rest of the story arc. I found it about thirty minutes before the game started. Talk about cutting it close… It’s also nice to run a game where the characters – and their players – are intelligent.

I leapt… and fell. I have no idea how deep the crevice went, but when I noticed that I was falling, I hit Hover. I floated back to the road and then, it was on to meet the contact.
This was the second time that “the most useless power in the world” saved my life.
And, I stayed in the game until I hit Level 12.
TWO more levels until Flight!
That – and not dying – makes me happy.
