I just got off the phone with him. He’s driving to from Baltimore to Ohio to visit members of my grandmother’s side of the family. He made it to Frederick and saw a sign that said that part of I-70/I-76 is closed.

The reason for the call: He wanted me to give him an alternate route.

Thanks to Ye Olde Streets & Trips, I was able to do so quickly and easily. After I told him what roads to take and where they connected, he was on his way.

The reason that I find this amusing: He’s driving the new car… with the On*Star system in it.

I’m not sure if they ever subscribed to On*Star, but I find it funny that he called me – on the other side of the country – for directions.

I love my dad.
