Ravens Update
Baltimore at Cleveland | |
16 – 20 | |
The Ravens traveled to Cleveland for another meeting of Browns 1.0 vs. Browns 2.0
The game started off well… and then descended into madness. The Ravens looked uncharacteristically strong in the first half. I have no idea where those guys went in the second half, though. I can’t even blame the referees for making bad calls. It’s like the Ravens just… checked out of the game at halftime. They allowed 14 unanswered points in the third quarter and couldn’t seem to find the end zone to save their lives. The season is now over and Baltimore ends it with a losing season. I still think that this is a good thing – they need some perspective on what it means to play the game as a team and not as a offense and a defense who happen to wear the same uniforms. One “positive” thing to come out of this is: While Baltimore and Cleveland’s records for the season are identical, the Ravens have a nominally better standing due to conference wins. Here’s hoping for a better 2006 season. |
