“Don’t ask me, I’m just improvising…”

Today has been a fairly lazy day. I woke up and meandered around the apartment a while before making my way to the shower. After the shower, I meandered some more. Then, I got a call from Adam – he told about his first few days on base. Aside from some red tape and rigamarole, it sounds as though things are going pretty well. When I finished talking with Adam, I realized that I was tired of looking at Intrepid sitting in the middle of the floor, so I took care of that by getting her up and running again. Bonus points for: a) hooking it up to the Nine‘s secondary monitor (allowing me to have two “active” screens at the same time, thanks to the KVM), b) for having my mp3 collection back, and c) for finally getting the necessary video drivers to allow me to run CoH/CoV on Intrepid.
I wound up at Super Target. (I swear, that place could be considered my new Batcave or Fortress of Solitude…) I walked in, got a cart, walked down a couple of aisles and ran into Lynn and Katarina, a couple of ex-coworkers. I saw Lynn a few months ago at Hogle Zoo, but I haven’t seen Katarina in a long time. Lynn also told me that he’s started a podcast site, The Podcast Junkie. I picked up a few groceries and cleaning supplies and headed home to cook dinner: Chicken breasts, rice and mixed vegetables. I was even forward-thinking enough to fix enough to have a tasty lunch tomorrow. Go, me.
