Tuesday
Today has been a good day.
Sunny. Blue skies. A little wind.

“Working at home” today apparently translated into “napping to make up for two nights’ poor sleep.” I just hope that I’m not staring at the ceiling at 5 A.M. I’ve actually managed to be productive, but I’ve got a couple gaps in time that I cannot account for. Let’s do the Time Warp agaaaaain! Umm, sorry. That slipped.

I have two more days before I fly home. Actually, it’s a little over 36 hours. The anticipation is definitely building. I’m looking forward to a few days in the old stomping grounds and getting to see the old crowd. I should probably give some thought to what I’m planning on taking.

just emailed me a notice that Mike Carlin will be speaking in town. Mr. Carlin works for DC Comics; he has been a writer and editor there for many years and has worked on many of the “big-name” titles. I would like to go. Unfortunately, he will be here this Friday. *sigh*

Stray Toasters

  • sent me a link to Pandaf Golf II yesterday. This game is like video crack – I haven’t been able to stop playing it. I am currently stuck on Level 54….and it is driving me insane. *shakes fist* I’ll have to find something similarly addicting and send it to her.

  • I like independent films. There’s something about the “rough edge” that they have – yet many/most mainstream films lack – that makes them appealing. This is not to say that I don’t like mainstream movies, however.

Independent films like SuperTalk and Batman: Dead End remind me of fan fiction. But, I enjoy them, too. But, I was a little surprised (and amused) to see G.I. Joe: Special Missions 1 as one of the offerings on Comics2Film’s C2F Cinema. I’ll have to check it out and see if it is as good… um… bad… “whatever”… as the 80s cartoons.

That’s a wrap. At least for now.

Namaste.
