Tuesday
Today was a decent day.

Aside from a slight problem with the garage door, that is. When I returned home from a morning excursion, I clicked the remote to open the door and it did the mechanical equivalent of thumbing its nose at me. A few times. Undaunted, I got out of the car, came in the front door and headed to the tool drawer. I entered the garage from the house and introduced the garage door to my favorite hammer, Mjolnir II. Shortly thereafter, it seemed to comprehend the idea that I was serious about it opening and closing when it is supposed to do so.

Later in the day, I dropped in to see (I’m using her bike and Camelbak® this weekend) and (I had questions about the trail her father wants to ride this Saturday). The evening was spent having dinner and hanging-out with the recently returned from out-of-town and .

Wednesday afternoon, I’m heading back to Moab for another round of HVAC duct work with ‘s father. And another slickrock bike ride. And, hopefully, another round or two of Moab Brewery’s finest.

  • I may watch Titan AE again this weekend.
  • Craigslist has many an interesting item. I was perusing the Salt Lake City list and came across an “Items Wanted” posting for Dear John letters. As if that wasn’t odd enough, the requestor specifically wanted letters received by missionaries (while in the mission field, I presume). As Dr. Rosenblatt would say: “It’s so bizarre…”
  • I have a few comics-related statues (Batman (mini), The Sandman (mini) and Gambit), but I’ve never really been a big fan of busts/mini-busts. Not even the various Cyclops busts that have been out. *shrug* Aesthetics, go figure. However, I’m willing to reconsider my opinion with the upcoming Kitty Pryde bust (details). It even has Lockheed – that’s a definite bonus.
  • Disney is moving ahead with Toy Story 3. I wonder what it will be like now that Pixar and Disney’s working relationship is no more.

That’s it for the next few days… unless I get the modem on Defiant working and decide to eke out a quick post from the southern desert.

Namaste.
