Today’s been pretty lazy.  Which has been a good follow-up to a lazy evening.

Last night, post-Clitorati, I came home and played a little CoH.  I joined a team and we went looking for trouble.  We found it.  Out biggest problem: We had a bad team leader.  Our team leader – who was also our healer – kept acting like a petulant child.  “She” (the character was female and the player seemed to be female, but it is the Internet, so who knows…)  kept running into areas, getting attacked and then backing WAY out of the room and leading the bad guys to the rest of us.  That’s not so bad, in and of itself.  The problem came when she would run a good distance away from the action… and then want to constantly teleport us away from our fights to heal us.  Most healers – most good healers, that is – stay on the edge of the battle, but within their healing radius to heal players.  Not this one.  When we complained about it, she would say things like “Fine!  Don’t come running to me when you need me” or “If that’s the way you want to be, see if I care.”  After the mission was over, I logged out.  I wasn’t in the mood to babysit.

So, I sprawled out on the sofa with School Days, the latest Spenser that I’ve picked up.  And I started reading…

…next thing I know, it’s 8 AM.  I don’t even remember nodding off.  Oh, well.  I moved to the bed, where I remained for the next couple of hours.

I puttered about the apartment for a bit.  invited me to see Pan’s Labyrinth a little after 2:00.

I joined her, , , and a couple of her friends.  The movie was good.  It was an interesting counterpart to Mirrormask.

After the movie, I stopped at Dr. Volt’s.  There were a few things in my box, but I decided to wait until next week to pick up my haul.  I came home and watched the second half of the Pro Bowl.  The AFC won (BARELY!) by a score of 31-28.  And there were six (6) Ravens on the AFC squad, including Adalius Thomas, who recovered and ran back an NFC fumble for a 70-yard touchdown.
Now, I’m off to hang out at ‘s place for a while.

Namaste.
