Thursday : 10 November 05
Four down and one in the chamber.

Today was a decent day at work. I didn’t have too many distractions and I was able to get a few things accomplished. The mid-day workout was good, too. Working out is much more enjoyable when one’s stomach isn’t attempting to foment a body-wide rebellion.

This evening, I came home… and fell asleep. I zoned right the Hell out. Gone. *poof* Hasta la night-night. I woke up somewhere between ninety minutes and two hours later. When I fully returned to The Waking World, I talked with and watched CSI. It’s another two-part episode. Very interesting. And it looks as though part two may not have a “happy” ending – I will admit that I like it when shows have the testicular fortitude to end without a happy ending sometimes. I hope that CSI doesn’t cop out (no pun intended) and find pull some deus ex machina miracle out at the last moment.

Stray Toasters

  • Thanks to for sending me a link to Heavy Games. There are things on there that make me smile.
  • By way of NPR: Porgy and Bess Live Online November 12
About ten or so years ago, I saw a choral presentation of Porgy and Bess, performed by Opera Carolina, with Bobby McFerrin conducting. It was a cool production. One of the vocalists was a friend of the family, so we got to go backstage following the show and meet Mr. McFerrin.
