Oy.  After less-sleep-than-normal, I started the day with frozen mocha goodness.  Things seemed to fall more or less into place after that.  Work was good.  As I noted earlier, I was rather amused by the song that Mom sent me the other day.  I shared it with coworkers; Jason and I walked around singing and/or humming it all day, as we dealt with various monkeys.

On the way home, I stopped by Home Depot to pick up a new shower head.  As I pulled into the parking lot, I thought to myself: “I wonder if I’ll see here…”  I got out of the car and headed into the store.  I found the shower heads, picked the closest one to what I wanted (without having to pay an arm and a leg for it) and headed out.  As I was checking out, walked up.  Serendipity?  Synchronicity?  I don’t know.  As Dr. Lou would say, “It’s just so bizarre…”  I mentioned to him a possible solution to my DirecTV conundrum.  He presented a possible option on it that I hadn’t considered… but I like a lot.

Home for a bit and then off to ‘ for this week’s D&D fix game.  Our intrepid band of adventurers made it to our current destination without much of a problem.  In fact, the problems didn’t start until we walked in the door of the castle.  And, even then, it wasn’t so bad.  Or so we thought.  Let’s just say that by the end of tonight’s session, we were royally screwed.  Buggered.  Rogered.  Fucked.  And that’s where we get to pick up next time.

Stray Toasters

  • I finally got the new PHP and CSS-enabled content on my site up and running.  I still classify it as “a work-in-progress,” but I’m happy with the way it’s turning out.  If anyone comes across any technical problems, please let me know.
  • This shower curtain amuses me almost as much as the stick figure one I got from IKEA many moons past.
  • As I mentioned last night, the phone pics finally showed up.  The first three were taken at the West Point – Pepperell Outlet; the last two were from the grocery store.
    • will understand the sentiment behind this one.
    • This one had written all over it.
    • : I saw this and immediately thought of you.
    • …and : Walking through the grocery store, I saw this (which is a toy version of this) and had to get a picture of it for you.  Then, I walked two more aisles over and saw this and nearly doubled-over laughing in my shopping cart.

  • Steampunk Chubby – coal, steam and… oh, don’t even ask.  It’s safer that way.
  • Be careful what you ask for…
  • : Mon-El

And that should be enough for now.

Namaste.
