Last night, we saw


…with a couple changes to the expected viewing line-up: couldn’t make it, so brought her brother, instead. We also wound up with an extra ticket, so was able to join us, too.

Alfonso Cuaron is a good successor to Chris Columbus as the movie’s director. He didn’t try to emulate Columbus’ style; he took the movie and made it his own… and it was good. Michael Gambon made a good Dumbledore, as well. And Gary Oldman as Sirius Black. ‘Nuff said.

In the words of a dying James T. Kirk: “It was… fun.”

I give it two thumbs up with an okay.
So go see it.
