Tuesday
All three cats took it upon themselves to play “alarm clock” at 7:00 this morning. The twins were wrestling and Sissy was… doing something noisy. At least it wasn’t the usual 5:00 start-up. And we did manage to get back to sleep. When the alarm went off, I woke up to Lightning staring me in the face again this morning. He had this “I’m awake, why aren’t you?” look. It was cute.

Sissy isn’t growling nearly as much around the kittens. They have taken to not only eating their food, but Sissy’s as well. They have also discovered that we are greatly pleased by their use of the litter box.

The work day wasn’t bad, either: I made the server to bow to my will. After that, the rest of the day was cake.

  • The year is 1987, and NASA launches the last of America’s deep space probes. In a freak mishap, Ranger 3 and its pilot, Captain William “Buck” Rogers, are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life support systems, and returns Buck Rogers to Earth… 500 years later.
If you’re (at least) in your early to mid-30s, you’ll probably remember that as the opening narration to NBC’s Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. It’s back.
