Thursday
I woke up this morning to see that it had snowed overnight. Snow. Definitely not the proverbial “April showers” that I remember as a kid. Although the rhyme never specified “rain showers” from “snow showers.” Damned technicalities. It snowed, intermittently, all day.

Song of the Day

  • Strangers in the Night by Frank Sinatra
  • Stay the Night by Chicago
  • Twisting the Night Away by Sam Cooke

Stray Toasters

  • One of the local radio stations has been airing ads for the upcoming Bon Jovi concert. The Goo Goo Dolls are the opening band. But, the way that the announcer says their name makes it sound like “The Google Dolls.” Either that or I’m in front of a computer way too much.
  • Someone posted a link to this tonight. Amusing, in a “no shit” kind of way.
  • I came across this site while I was looking for information about Danny Elfman being tapped to score The Hulk after Mychael Danna was dropped for yet-to-be-determined reasons.
  • A friend sent me a link to this item. Holy Tropicana Twisters, Batman! This must be the ultimate in Geek Cuisine.
  • I saw a new Verizon commercial – with the monkey at the zoo – tonight. It made me laugh.

Question of the Day
Wallets/purses and cell phones aside, what things do you (almost) never leave home without?
Me: Palm Pilot, sketchbook/pencils and (most days) my camera.

Namaste.
