Sunday (coda)
Going to the library was a nice change of pace. I read one of my TCP/IP books. showed up a little later.  We sat, talked and people-watched.  Before we knew it, the library was closing.

I drove to visit Perry and the kids for a bit. They were doing well. I had a good time hanging out with them.

I came home…

…and found myself in the midst of a big domestic jag. I cooked dinner, not only for tonight but also for a few nights this week. I did laundry. Not “I took it to the cleaners to be picked up later.” I did it. And I was also reminded why I’m never enthused about doing my laundry here: The dryer in which I placed my colored clothes did not dry them completely. I have clothes hanging up to finish drying. *sigh* Oh, well… at least they’re clean.

Stray Toasters

  • While cooking, I was listening to my iPod. If You Believe started playing. It was one of the songs from the soundtrack to The Wiz – the Broadway musical, not motion picture – that my mother used to play (OFTEN) when I was younger. It made me smile.

    If you believe
    Within your heart
You’ll know that no one can change
The path that you must go
    Believe what you feel
    And know you’re right because
    The time will come around
    When you’ll say it’s yours

Believe that you can go home
Believe you can float on air
Then click your heels three times
    If you believe
    Then you’ll be there
That’s why I want you to
    Believe in yourself
    Right from the start
    Believe in the magic
    Right there in your heart
Go ahead believe all these things
Not because I told you to
    But believe in yourself
    If you believe in yourself
    Just believe in yourself
    As I believe in you
